Le Pari d'Honfleur

Albert Fouquet visited the chic Deauville-La Touques racecourse every summer with his aristocratic friend Christian. During their stay at Christian's villa in Honfleur, Fouquet was inspired by the scents of the coast and the garden to create an exclusive perfume. Christian was fascinated by the scent, but knew that Fouquet did not share his creations.

During a horse race, Christian playfully challenged him: if his betting tip was correct, he wanted the perfume as a reward. The tip turned out to be wrong, but out of friendship Fouquet still made a special version of the perfume and called it "Le Pari D'Honfleur". Years later, Christian's wife Brigitte told him that this perfume was the key to her heart.
